Record a DDoS attack.

Wow, is it finally my turn to be attacked?

TL;DR

This DDoS attack did not cause any substantial damage and did not affect normal access to the blog.

Cloudflare records show a total of 3 million HTTP DDoS attack requests, with over a million requests being blocked by custom firewall rules.

The Incident

Initially, I didn't notice that my blog was under a DDoS attack. At that time, I was chatting with online friends on Telegram and QQ, and when I opened the Cloudflare dashboard, I casually glanced at the WAF events as usual, only to find many abnormal access records.

Upon further investigation, it turned out to be an HTTP DDoS attack. The Cloudflare dashboard was filled with the word "blocked".

Then, I checked my email and found that Cloudflare had sent me 13 emails in one go, all about my website being targeted by a DDoS attack.

I don't have much traffic, why would someone attack me? (confused face)

I found it quite amusing that they targeted my static site and even attacked through Cloudflare.

This attack resulted in a total of 27 GB of traffic and approximately 4.8 million requests. However, since my blog is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, it did not have any substantial impact, and the blog remained accessible as usual.

This is the first time my blog has encountered a DDoS attack. It's worth recording, isn't it?

In conclusion, I hope none of you ever have to worry about being attacked.
